Document Abstract
The electrical,opticalandbendingcharacteristicsofpoly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene)polystyrene sulfonate (PEDOT:PSS)/Au/PEDOT:PSSdepositedonpolyethyleneterephthalate(PET)substratewere studied asafunctionofinsertedAu film thickness.Theresultswerecomparedwiththoseofindium-tin- oxide(ITO)andsinglelayerPEDOT:PSSelectrodes.ItwasfoundthatinsertionofAu film withoptimized thickness betweenPEDOT:PSSlayersimprovedthesheetresistanceincomparisontosinglePEDOT:PSS film andITO film. ItwasdemonstratedthatPEDOT:PSS(35nm)/Au(15nm)//PEDOT:PSS(35nm)exhibits sheet resistanceof20.9 Ω/sq andmaximumopticaltransmissionof82.6%inthevisibleregion.Moreover, this multilayerelectrodeshoweddramaticallyimprovedmechanicalstabilitycomparedtoITO,when subjected tomultiplebends.Itssheetresistancevariationwas3.8%afterapplying2000bendingcyclesat radius ofcurvature6mmincomparisonto6.7%forsinglePEDOT:PSS film and11.4%forITO.
